Start giving monthly!

catterson2.jpgWe can’t predict when a large intake or a medical crisis will happen, but we can prepare by inviting generous animal lovers to become a Furry Friends Refuge Pawtner!

“Pawtners” are the compassionate people who make monthly donations to the shelter so that the basic supply cabinet will be full at all times.

It’s a win-win situation!

During calm periods, you’ll be the foundation upon which advanced programs can build, because you can’t have dog playgroups without dog food, or a feline-leukemia adoption program when the cat litter is always low.

And during hectic times, whether it’s a piece of equipment breaking or a complicated health issue, you’ll be the port in the storm, making sure no one has to worry about the day-to-day details.

Ready to join? Get started here! (If you’d rather mail us a paper form, that’s great, too — download and print this form, then mail it back to our West Des Moines shelter.)

The following generous donors are already ensuring that shelter animals can rest easy, knowing their basic needs will always be taken care of:

Ben and Angie Bowen • Derek Mills • Dustin • Jake and Maggie Gonnering • Jen Maranell • Joe Mengel • Merri Monks • Robert Pleasant • Stacy Schultz  • A pet lover in Waukee • A pet lover in Carlisle • A pet lover in Des Moines • A pet lover in Clive • A pet lover in Grimes • A pet lover in Johnston

PS: Many employers are eager to support the causes that their workers give back to! Notable local companies that match employee donations include ARAG, Costco, Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, General Mills, Meredith Corp., Pella, Principal, US Bank, Voya, and Wellmark.

Ask your HR department about whether your workplace offers matching donations, automatic payroll deductions, and/or volunteerism grants, or check this list of the most-charitable companies.
