Furry Friends Refuge: Volunteer/Help

Furry Friends Refuge is 100% volunteer  managed.  We rely on our volunteers to keep all of our programs running including adoptions, foster care, fundraising, education, and community outreach.
Interested in volunteering?  Attend our volunteer orientation on the first Saturday of each month at 9:00-10:30am.  At orientation you will learn more about what the organization does, explore different types of volunteering activities, and find a fit that is best for you.  Children are welcome to attend with a parent or adult guardian.  Orientation is at our adoption center at 9235 Swanson Blvd. Suite 2 in Clive.

Support Furry Friends Refuge by shopping at our online store. Logo shirts, mugs, pet t-shirts and more available! All proceeds benefit the shelter.

Pet merchandise is also available at the retail section of the shelter. Products include Oxbow bunny products, cat toys, and gifts for pet lovers.

 

Donate to help the animals--Furry Friends Refuge is an all volunteer non-profit.  All donations go directly to the care of our animals.

There are many other ways to help the animals at our shelter.  Here are a few ways to help:

1. Donate items on the Furry Friends wish list (see volunteer page for current list)
2. Set up a donation bank at your work, your vet's office, or a neighborhood store
3. Do your online shopping through iGive.com
4. Arrange a fundraiser through your school
5. Arrange a special jeans or casual day at work for people who donate to Furry Friends
6. Utilize employer donation matching programs

Be creative, there are many different ways to help.  Even the smallest donations can feed one of our animals in need!  If you are interested in helping with fundraising, contact the Furry Friends at 515-222-0009 or by e-mail at volunteer@furryfriendsrefuge.org.
