Closeup of stitchesSometimes when animals come to Furry Friends, they are in need of care beyond the normal treatment for a cold, infection, or a spay or neuter procedure. The Quick Care Fund was created to help with these needs.

The fund was created after the 2011 rescue of forty dogs from a single-wide trailer in Bevington required almost all of the resources Furry Friends had available.

The Quick Care Fund allows us to immediately assist a dog like Bentley, who was hit by a car; Precious, the kitten who came to us with a deformed leg that dragged behind her and required amputation; Charlotte, the sweet mother dog — abandoned by the side of the road in a broken wood box — who required a C-section to deliver her eleven puppies; and many more.

You can donate to this fund online or send a check with “Quick Care Fund” written on the memo line. Checks should be mailed to 1211 Grand Ave., West Des Moines, IA 50265.
